The water-cooling basin of a major Kuwaiti petro-chemical plant had to be inspected for leaks and corrosion. Draining it would stop production for a week, cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and expose the desert facility to harsh environmental limits. Divers were ruled out: narrow manholes, low visibility, and unpredictable currents made human entry unsafe.

Enter the FIFISH E-GO & Q-Cam D/L Duo

ZainTECH’s inspection team rolled in with a suitcase-sized FIFISH E-GO ROV fitted with the Q-Cam D/L laser-scaling camera.

· Slips into tight spots – E-GO’s compact frame glided through 40 cm access hatches.

In less than eight hours the team mapped every corner of the basin, streaming live video to engineers topside and tagging points of concern in real time.
