As we discover more and more about our earth, the desire to explore the undersea is greater than ever. Thanks to technology revolution, underwater drone industry experiences a fast growth nowadays. "QYSEA FIFISH P3 Underwater drone, amazing piece of equipment!" said Dean, "This has done some hardcore open-ocean diving. It has probably done 50 maybe 60 dives on our expedition. We really used it, many hours of operation. That's why I really know it's a good piece of equipment.”

Dean was very impressed of the build quality and the engineering of FIFISH P3. He indicated that the thrusters are large and strong, also quite good distance apart, which would give good turning ability. The mid mount thruster makes it go up and down smoothly. The operation is as simple as flying an aerial drone.

"We found some very cool thing with this ROV. We found a plane wreck in Vanuatu we dived the first place with this ROV!" Dean excitedly shared their finding with us. It was able to get right in close to the plane even inside the plane and around, which is unavailable even on professional underwater cameras."

The FIFISH support 3 modes for focusing, you can select the mode on the right bottom corner of FPV of FIFISH App. 

  • Click the AF, will active the Auto Focus mode, which suit for Crystal water, simple objects, low speed cruising, etc.
  • Click the "flower" sign, will active the macro mode, which is good for shorter object distance. For example, coral, actinia, and clownfish, etc.
  • Click the "mountain" sign, will active the normal mode, which is good for longer object distance. For example, Fast moving or multiple objects, enriched suspension particles, and high pursuit etc.
The default setting is Auto Focus (AF) mode for beginners. However, the AF mode may NOT suitable in following objects shooting,
  • fast moving objects, such as, dolphins;
  • enriched suspension particles, such as, plankton;
  • high speed pursuit, such as, fish tracking

The left joystick is horizontal moving, for example, forward, reverse, left turn and right turn.

The right joystick is vertical moving, only have up and down.

January 2018 – FIFISH P3 is unveiled at CES 2016 and wins the annual CES Innovation Award, becoming the only underwater drone to have won this prestigious prize.

A new underwater drone is arriving soon, the FIFISH P3, created by the company Qysea will probably be the most advanced Remote Operated Underwater Vehicles drone and video platform in term of video and photo resolution at depths of up to 100 meters.

    Back in early June, QYSEA embarked on an exciting and momentous journey to the tropical city of Hainan. The mission was to take part in a wildlife television series in collaboration with the premiere television network of Mainland China: CCTV. 

    CCTV has an astounding network of 50 channels, broadcasting different programmes and is accessible to more than one billion viewers, with various programs that provide up to six different languages. The particular channel we were teaming with, CCTV-9, focuses on documentaries from a diverse range of topics, including wildlife, travel, food, and much more. QYSEA has been fortunate enough to work with various international nature-based networks, namely National Geographic and Discovery Channel. But naturally, we were elated to be part of such a huge and incredible platform that was prevalent across Asia!

    Much of the wild & rugged West Coast of Hainan is undisturbed natural scenery, where rainforests grow deep and green. Our filming expedition took us to the beautiful Bawangling National Forest Reserve, a place harboring a vast tract of thick lush rainforests, home to many rare plants and animals. Bawangling National Nature Reserve lies in western Hainan (about 220 km from the provincial capital of Haikou). Established in 1980 with an area of 67 square kilometers, it is the one of the most resource-rich areas of the country.


    With a total area of over 8,000 hectares, it’s truly a nature-filled wonderland, taking us far away and wide from the city center, with almost 3 hours to reach our long-awaited destination. It was an incredible sight to see, with green lands and majestic mountains as far as the eye can see, and rivers clear enough to see to its greatest depth. Within the reserve, there over 600 species of trees, among which 27 species are under national key protection and cannot be touched. But our focus was on one particular special little creature.


    Although we can’t reveal too much at this time, we can tell you this much. This little one is of the rarest and has been found only in small mountain streams from southern China to Thailand and southern Myanmar. Only the size of an average person’s hand, it is incredibly tough and relentless. A surprisingly good climber that uses its long tail for balance, sometimes it may use its mouth to grab vertical surfaces in its frequent vertical climbs. Hearing how nimble it can be, you can guess the challenge in finding this majestic mini monster.

    But when found it last, we were rewarded immensely. I’d say QYSEA and CCTV made a solid filming tandem that perfectly complemented one another, with incredible footage capture on both land and sea. Equipped with our 4K camera, 166° FOV lens, 4000 lumen LED lights and true color imaging, we are excited to be able to bring to life the backyard of Hainan’s beauty and tranquillity for the nation’s audience through their television screens. Over the 2-day filming period, we left more inspired and awes-struck at the many beautiful locations we saw as well as the crew’s dedication to their work, with the memories and experiences soon not to be forgotten.

    -- US Nuclear (OTC: UCLE) has signed a strategic alliance agreement with QYSEA Technology to market, build, sell, and service Industrial Underwater Robot Sensor Systems in the USA and around the world.  QYSEA Technology, located in Shenzhen, China, is a world-leading manufacturer of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) and is known for the FIFISH, a professional underwater ROV for inspection, photography, videography, and exploration.

    This agreement is an obvious extension for US Nuclear, who has been successfully selling the DroneRAD series- UAVs with radiation, chemical, and biological sensor technology.  Sales for the DroneRAD are already up 777% over last year and are projected to continue increasing.  Robert Goldstein, CEO of US Nuclear Corp, commented: “We will be able to leverage our recent success selling UAV sensors to the UUV market, capitalizing on the similar customer base.  QYSEA Technology will be a perfect match for US Nuclear, and we look forward to providing unmanned robots that will have the ability to detect radiation, chemicals, and biological pollutants underwater and open a new world of underwater exploration.”  QYSEA is responsible for supplying the industrial underwater robot, cameras, and locomotion control, while US Nuclear will install the radiological, chemical, and biological sensor packages in addition to the data collection/transmission software.

    Seeing such an experienced resume and as one of YouTube’s first RC reviewers, we were honoured to get a chance to work with him, and even more exciting to get his opinion on the FIFISH V6, from a fair and professional point of view.     Thanks to the immense progress of the photography and film industry, our vision that everyone person can achieve professional-level shooting in an epic slow-motion style is now a reality!

    Although these images are incredibly cool, they don't necessarily need to be shot by a master photographer; anyone with a FIFISH V6 can master slow motion filming.


    Slow Motion Shooting Introduction

    Slow-motion shooting is also known as "high-frame-rate shooting". In general, when shooting a camera, it takes about 24-30 frames per second to play the video smoothly. However, the FIFISH V6's slow-motion shooting can shoot up to 240 frames-per-second, which 8 times than that of a standard video.

    For example: 4 times slow speed is to slow down the video playback speed to 25%, the picture can be slowed down while keeping the flow smooth, resulting in a feeling that time is paused for a moment. At this time, every action of the shooting object will be enlarged, and the audience will be able to notice every small detail of the action!


    Slow Motion Shooting Set Up

    It is not difficult to shoot in slomotion with our V6. In the FIFISH APP interface, click the “Slow Motion” icon and wait for the “Shooting Button” to adjust to the slow-motion state. It’s as simple as that! Whether you are playing back the video or outputting out the footage to your SD card, you will see your videos in epic slow motion.


    Slow Motion Shooting Tips

    The greater the range of motion with the subject, the more obvious the slow motion effect. In addition, the main body of the action should not be too far away from the camera; otherwise the subject will become very small in the picture, and the details of the action will not be easy to see even when it is slower.

    Even when shooting slow motion, and the camera's field of view (FOV) is slightly narrowed, and the FIFISH V6 is equipped with a 166° super wide-angle lens that provides you enough creative space for shooting and composition. Moreover, FIFISH V6 slow motion supports a wide range of slow speeds, from 2x to 8x slower than the regular speed in 1080p full HD!

    The shooting environment should not be too dark. Slow-motion shooting will cause the camera to have a shutter speed of no less than 1/120 seconds, which will affect your shooting in low-light conditionals. In an environment with insufficient brightness, the camera can only adjust the ISO setting, though it will in-turn affect the overall image quality. However, the FIFISH V6 is equipped with 4000 lumen headlights that offer high-level brightness, so you don't have to worry about a thing about not having enough lights!

    US Nuclear Corp. has recently signed a strategic alliance agreement with QYSEA Technology to market, build, sell, and service Industrial Underwater Robot Sensor Systems in the USA and around the world! 

     

    US Nuclear Corporation is a US radiation detection holding company headquartered in California, specializing in the development and manufacturing of radiation detection instrumentation. It supplies instrumentation to nuclear power plants, national laboratories, government agencies, homeland security, military and weapon makers, universities and schools, research companies, hospitals, as well as energy companies.

     

    This agreement is an extension for US Nuclear, who has been successfully selling the DroneRAD series- UAVs with radiation, chemical, and biological sensor technology.  Sales for the DroneRAD are already up 777% over last year and are projected to continue increasing.  Robert Goldstein, CEO of US Nuclear Corp, commented: “We will be able to leverage our recent success selling UAV sensors to the UUV market, capitalizing on the similar customer base. 

     

    The strategic cooperation with the US nuclear energy company marks that QYSEA has officially entered into the high-end industry applications field in North America,and has become an important milestone in implementing the strategic layout of the company's global development in its long term plans.

     

    This is tremendous news for us at QYSEA, where we believe we will be a perfect match for US Nuclear, as we look forward to providing unmanned robots that will have the ability to detect radiation, chemicals, and biological pollutants underwater and open a new world of underwater exploration.”  QYSEA will be responsible for supplying the industrial underwater robot, cameras, and locomotion control, while US Nuclear will install the radiological, chemical, and biological sensor packages in addition to the data collection/transmission software. 

     

    The alliance is based around our three underwater ROVs: the FIFISH V6, P3, and X6, where some of the unique features of these robots include: 4K UHD footage that can be live-streamed, a maximum depth of 100m, 6 degrees of freedom for nimble manoeuvrability, powerful 4000 lumens LED lights, high definition camera with 1” Sony® CMOS sensor- 20 Megapixels with f/2.8 aperture, and a 166° ultra wide-angle field of view.  There are many applications in our UUVs including underwater photography, filming, and ocean exploration.  US Nuclear’s addition of chemical, biological, and radiological sensors now allows these underwater robots to collect important factual data, such as for:

     

    • Aquaculture: Over 40% of seafood is grown or cultivated artificially.  The FIFISH can be used to carefully monitor these facilities 24/7 no matter the weather conditions, and using US Nuclear’s sensors, can collect data on chemical or biological pollutants that may affect the facility.  This method is safer and more efficient than the traditional method of sending a diver to inspect/take water samples.    
    • Public Facilities: Power plants, dams, reservoirs, and canals are graded as high-risk assessment.  The FIFISH are a safe, convenient, and cost-effective solution for monitoring and collecting data for these facilities.  US Nuclear’s radiation sensors can be used for monitoring radiation levels at power plants, while chemical and biological sensors can be used at dams, reservoirs, reclamation facilities, canals, and more to measure chemical/biological pollutants. 
    • Shipyard/Harbor/Port: Providing hull inspections and surveys.   
    • Border Control/Public Safety/Law Enforcement:  The addition of radiological sensors will allow the FIFISH to detect nuclear materials that can be smuggled across borders. 



    US Nuclear has become the exclusive North American sales representative for QYSEA for nuclear and chemical related applications, and a non-exclusive authorized reseller for all other applications.  Similarly, QYSEA will be a US Nuclear representative in China for chemical and nuclear underwater robot applications.
